RJ Village offers a variety of conflict resolution services to residents, schools, businesses, and organizations including:
The RJSN is a collaborative of restorative justice providers and volunteers across Maryland. By offering ongoing support, training, and resources, we strengthen restorative justice practices statewide. Through collaboration and innovation, we aim to create lasting change in communities that have historically been marginalized by traditional legal systems.
A Revolutionary Summer is an intensive program based in Baltimore, MD, dedicated to empowering Black girls through literature, art, and self-inquiry. This program curriculum has been created utilizing restorative principles, and helps young women connect with their heritage, contribute to Black art, and engage in mindfulness practices that promote self-actualization. It is a creative and spiritual journey that nurtures both the mind and the soul.
Prince George’s Restorative Justice Program (PGRJ) is an essential resource for conflict resolution in Prince George’s County, addressing issues from minor offenses to serious crimes. We connect those impacted by harm, the responsible parties, and their support networks—families, teachers, and mentors—to create meaningful agreements focused on restitution, reconciliation, and access to social services.
Unique in Maryland, our community conferencing program offers services in both English and Spanish, promoting inclusivity and accessibility. Our trained facilitators and circle keepers guide participants through every stage of the process. Referrals can be made by schools, courts, community organizations, or even friends and family, and we provide education on conflict management while training volunteers as facilitators.
Recognizing the need for alternatives to incarceration, PGRJ empowers residents to seek restorative solutions, with all services offered free of charge. Participants can choose the time, date, and location of their sessions, with transportation provided if necessary.
Our strong partnerships with Prince George’s County Public Schools, the Department of Juvenile Services, and local churches demonstrate our commitment to community building. Additionally, we collaborate with the Prince George’s Community Collaborative Resolution Center to offer complementary mediation services at no cost.
